Welcome to Emles! Emles was established 1955 in Carmel, California. Owner, Nick, took over Emles Carmel in the early 1980's. Nick has always loved to cook and has been in the restaurant business for decades. In 2005 Nick's children decided to move to Los Angeles to attend college. Not wanting to be far from the children, the whole family moved down south and relocated Emles. They had high hopes that people will fall in love with Emles as much as they had. Eventually Mike, Nick's son, got his degree in Culinary Arts from the renowned Le Cordon Bleu. His father's love for cooking inspired him and made him want to pursue the culinary arts. Mike is now the executive chef here at Emles. Hand-in-hand Nick and his family continue to work in making Emles a great place where people can come together to enjoy great food with great company.
